Case Study 2: About

In the heart of the village we purchased this semi-detached bungalow with demolition consent. Most people thought we were crazy but we could see the potential of the over grown plot and set to work on designing our first self-build. Planning drawings were submitted along with 3D visualisations and planning was granted without objection.
We wanted to mirror the architecture of the village pub and opted for a Cotswold stone Georgian fronted property with a stone portico. The side and rear of the property were made in block and render to the keep costs down and set off the stone quoins.
The interior was finished in neutral colours with stone floors and Georgian features. The kitchen was traditional with a touch of class.
Gardens were not massive but we made the most of the outside spaces with seating zones and feature planting, ideal to sip a cold glass of wine on a summers evening…
